01.Do your best and leave the rest to fate
At ERAS, we ask our members to act on their own accord,
taking responsibility of their actions:
- Is there more you can do to accomplish your mission? To generate the best result?
- Are you blindly waiting for others to take action on your behalf?
- Are you taking responsibility of your failure?
- Are members cooperating with each other to succeed?
Only when every member of ERAS hold these values at heart,
can we produce the best outcome.
02.Share ‘em fast, spread ‘em wide
“Share ideas fast, spread them as wide as you possibly can”.
No matter how the idea is received,
it will become an opportunity for the recipient to learn, think, and grow.
All members of ERAS have the responsibility to share the knowledge they’ve acquired,
spreading them wide and fast, so that it would in turn help cultivate others.
03.
Actions may speak louder than words,
but practicing what you preach is more important
At ERAS, we believe it is essential for our members to make their goals known and heard.
Sure, you may walk the walk without no say.
However, this will not make it possible for others to judge where the fault lies,
as they can only see the finalized product.
By sharing our aspirations with each other,
our members can experience the joy of success, as well as the dismay associated with failure.
By repeating this process,
our members will advance and come closer to accomplishing their goals.
04.Follow the latest trends
Not only do we cultivate engineers, we strive to create a brand new ERA alongside them.
Struggling together with fellow comrades,
we believe they could uncover goals only engineers could think of pursuing.
We shall aspire to create an environment where our members could share intellectual resources,
and eventually output them into society.
05.Always be conscious of the “triple win”
Ever heard of the “triple win”? It refers to a saying that has been handed down by our great predecessors in Japan.
We must provide satisfaction from three major perspectives: the purchaser, buyer, and society.
- What is the issue we would like to resolve?
What must we do to resolve the issue at hand? -
With regards to the three parties involved,
at ERAS, we try to deliver the process and results that will satisfy them all.
06.Appreciation and respect for others
Every member of society, including our members,
have various ideas based on their unique experience, beliefs, and values.
These ideas then become good, bad or mediocre
based on the recipient’s experience, beliefs, and values.
Because people produce ideas different from our own,
we believe we should respect them, learn from them,
and benefit from them to aid us in our own development.
07.Aiming one step further
For all new ERA to come,
we have a mission to support the coming ERA in the field of education and development.
An amazing idea has the power to cross borders.
It has the power to remain through future generations.
Setting the starting line at this very moment,
we will aim for success where no one has ever gone before.
08.Only you can change yourself
We can’t change the past because time only moves forward.
We can’t change others, because each person hold ideas that had been structured upon their experience, beliefs and values.
Our ideas and our future change in accordance to the actions we take next.
Here at ERAS, we welcome new values with an open mind. Our members take an active role in their growth, cultivating their ethics and morale.
09.What you wear doesn’t matter
As long as you’re not sticking out like a sore thumb at our client’s offices,
there is no dress code you would need to follow.
“Wearing a suit for work”
is not required if there is no valid reasoning to it.
“Why must we do it? Why do we need to do it specifically in that way?”
Always consider the reason behind a social rule, and act accordingly to what is required.
10.Be not afraid of making mistakes
At ERAS, we respect ideas of all kind,
and we encourage people taking a shot at the unknown.
We believe the modern world has been created by those
who held the courage to face the seemingly impossible.
Our members acts with conviction, unfazed by the fear of possible mistakes.
Along with a dash of courage, we keep challenging ourselves every single day.
11.Leaving a legacy
“Elevate ourselves by pushing towards a challenge. Keep performing to create innovation”. This was the belief ERAS was built upon.
We will keep doing our utmost best, pursuing the philosophy we hold true to us, and keep challenging ourselves without forgetting the courage and joy in our hearts.
Every member of ERAS is proud of their mission, and will strive to accomplish them. We shall see to it that it will be inherited to the next generation.
